Quinces - an introduction

All available as 'maidens' bare rooted from late November onwards when dormant. 'Maidens' are one year trees about 2m tall with some side branching. Quinces are self fertile. 'Portugal' is available on moderate vigour Quince A rootstock. 'Meeches Prolific' & 'Vranja' are now only available as non organic trees on Quince C rootstock which is a little more dwarfing than Quince A.

Quinces are worth a place in the garden not just for their pear shaped fruit but also for their showy white flushed pink flowers in ther spring.

Allow fruits to ripen on the tree before picking. Quinces have a strong aroma so store away from other fruits.

Trees will be dispatched late November to late March when dormant.
Trees will not be dispatched until late November when dormant. However you are welcome to order now, we will then reserve for you and be in contact in November to arrange delivery. We will not debit your card until October.
