Perry Pears - an introduction
All available as 'maidens' bare rooted when dormant. 'Maidens' are one year trees 1.5m - 2m tall.
Perry Pears are grown on vigorous wild pear rootstock and will result in large trees eventually.Traditionally grown in the three counties of Gloucestershire, Worcestershire & Herefordshire they make large long lived trees with masses of white blossom in the spring.
Trees will not be dispatched until late November when dormant. However you are welcome to order now, we will then reserve for you and be in contact in November to arrange delivery. We will not debit youir card until October.
Hendre Huffcap
Produces heavy crops of greenish yellow pears with some russet. Harvested early October producing a good quality perry. Grows to be a large tree of upright habit. Early mid season flowering, will pollinate Thorn.
